The Oyster Roast tickets have sold out. The 5K Trail Run is still available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Race & Roast at Oakland Plantation is a 5K trail run and oyster roast benefiting the Mount Pleasant Land Conservancy (MPLC).  You can participate in just one or both events.  It all takes place at the same beautiful location in Mount Pleasant starting at 12:30 pm on Sunday, February 26th.

The inaugural 5K trail run will wind through the 132-acre forest at Oakland Plantation that is permanently preserved by a conservation easement held by the MPLC.  The run will begin and finish under the avenue of oaks that lines the main drive to this seldom seen historic plantation. Walkers are also welcome. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to the terrain.

Registered runners will receive a race t-shirt and one complimentary beer ticket for the post event.  The Race will begin at 12:30 pm.  Awards will be given out after the race to the top three overall male and female and the top three male and female finishers in each age category (12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).  Tickets to the Oyster Roast are an additional $15 for registered runners and $25 for anyone else.

The Oyster Roast is from 1pm - 4 pm on the picturesque lawn of the plantation house, and next to the start/finish line for the race.  Oyster Roast tickets include live music by Lost Highway, all-you-can-eat local oysters, Lowcountry cuisine, Palmetto Brewery beer, hay rides, kids' activities and more...all for a great cause.  Children 12 years and younger are free.

Parking: available on site, but please carpool for the planet!

Pets: Sorry, no dogs or pets are permitted at this event.

Tickets for both events increase $5/each after February 21st!

The 5K trail run course:  the run is predominantly on hard packed dirt trails or road and starts on the avenue of oaks, winds through the preserved forest and finishes back at the plantation lawn and oyster roast.

Packet Pick-up: race numbers and packets can be picked up in advance on Saturday the 25th from 10am-5pm at On The RUN in Mount Pleasant, 920 Houston Northcutt Blvd (next to the Harris Teeter).  Registration and packet pick-up on the day of the race will be from 11:00am to noon at the race site.

This is a rain or shine event and advanced tickets are discounted through February 21st

Sorry, no dogs or pets allowed.
